My name is Vedran Matkovic (27.february.1984.),. I've been breeding birds for 16 years, of witch 8 years professionally. For the last two years I was aprentice for a judge for the F1 and F2 groups (exotic domesticated and non-domesticaded exotic finches that don't live in Europe) by C.O.M. standards (World ornithological organizations). I worked as a secretary in Ornithological Society in Osijek (Croatia) in which I was a representative for the region I lived in and was actively competing in its events around the country and other countries with excellent results . My biggest passion is the standard Australian zebra finch, which I have breaded in almost all of the mutations and combinations of mutations. I also kept large, medium and small parrots, almost all kinds of finches, quails, doves...!

I am Nicholas Virag (29 august 1982) born in Quebec Canada now living in Langdon Alberta. I have been keeping and breeding birds since I was 12 years old thanks to my grandfather . I started out with canaries and parakeets and moved on to all types of African and Australian finches. I have worked with many breeds of birds over the years such as finches, doves, cockatiels ,Senegal parrots , amazon parrots , pigeons and 5 different species of love birds. Right now the birds I have are zebra finches, cockatiels, peach faced lovebirds, barbet, turaco and pigeons. Oh and I can't forget Darwin my Senegal parrot . Cameron Graham is serving as our Secretary Treasurer. He got his introduction to birds by an uncle who raised budgies, cockatiels, lovebirds, and a few others back when Cameron was only 11 years old. He has been hooked ever since. He began with a group of budgies, and show pigeons as a teenager. Since then he has raised everything from Japanese Button Quail, to Rheas. From a wide variety of game birds and poultry in the 90’s when he was living on an acreage; to Finches, Canaries, and Doves living in the city. He has raised birds not only for his own enjoyment, but also been connected to educating with the hatchery he owned and operated in Red Deer. As well as a petting zoo he built in the early 90’s at a Children’s summer camp that is still operating today. He has a passion for always learning more, and trying to constantly improve and develop the birds he breeds. As well, he enjoys working with people to help them discover new ways they can learn from, and enjoy birds of all shapes and sizes. He serves as a director on the Canadian Pigeon Fanciers Association, as well as the Secretary and Show Chairman for the Calgary Fancy Pigeon Association. He brings with him over 30 years of experience raising birds of all kinds, as well as an understanding of how to work to put together shows and events. He looks forward to seeing what new opportunities our club will lead to in Calgary, and beyond.

My name is Marijana Peraica. I was born in Osijek, Croatia but now I live in Calgary, AB. I'm a long time bird lover and so far I only had birds as a pets. Reacently I started to breed finches. I'm eager to learn as much as a can to be able to produce good quality birds.
